Swimmers will check in at ground level (Grand Ave entrance) of the YMCA and spectators will enter the facility from the skywalk level at when the meet marshals are in place. We recommend parking in the 5th and Keo parking garage for this meet.
Our team camp will be along the south wall underneath the balcony.
Thank you to the volunteers that are willing to help on Saturday! We greatly appreciate it. There is a timers meeting at 9:20 on the deck.
Only swimmers, coaches, and volunteers during their duty are allowed on deck. Please ensure your swimmer has their things with them in camp. Amber, Deb and Matt will be there to help them throughout the meet and take care of needs. If absolutely necessary, a swimmer may be able to sneak upstairs to see if a parent if they have to, but absolutely no parents will be allowed on deck.
There is a parade for all participating teams starting at 9:00.
There will be a 20-minute break after Event 20 (500 Free) for All Star Presentation. The Nominations for All Stars area asked to come to the Pool Deck, entering the deck via the North Stairway (by the Gold Wall) and will meet at the Bottom of the Stairs by the North West Wall. The All Stars will be announced per Team in alphabetical order and walk across the Bulkhead. Stop mid-way on Bulkhead briefly for pictures and then exit towards the Score Board. They will be directed to line up in designated spots (Male Athletes, Female Athletes and Lay Person). After all are announced, we will ask all of the Female Athletes again enter across Bulkhead. Team Captain will be awarded. They will exit to the West and then the Male Athletes, etc....
NOTE: We did this after event 20 to allow your All Stars plenty of time to get to designated spot-ON TIME. We will not delay for people who cannot get to the designated spot on time. That is on them or you! So, talk to your nominees. If your All-Star Nomination cannot walk across Bulkhead please let us know before the day of the meet so we can make accommodations.
Spectators enter on Skywalk Level. Cost is $5 per person. Age 5 and under free. Try to have correct change for entry to meet and program. $7 is cost of program. NO PARENTS (that are not authorized) allowed on DECK. This will be enforced. When swimmer is done swimming, we ask Parents to meet the swimmer by the NORTH stairs. This is for safety of swimmers.
Programs are available for $7 each.
The state meet is a fun meet, but it does last a little longer than our other meets. Please come prepared with plenty to drink, snacks to eat, games to play, books to read, and with all of your swim gear! We hope it is a great experience for all of our swimmers in attendance!

Ribbons will still be broke down by age group! ☺ We will not be responsible for making sure there is rest time between events for the swimmer. So choose wisely. We will seed the meet Fastest to Slowest to allow empty lanes at end of event for swimmers who miss their races.
Santa is coming to town. He will arrive around noon. Santa's Elf just notified me that the elf wants to race some kids in one race. The prize for the winner of that race is a $50 bill.
Parents can purchase a chance ticket for $5 and these will be put in container to draw 5 names. The money for the chances go towards paying for Santa.
The Elf will be in a blow up raft. The elf will paddle the raft for a 25 and swimmers will swim a 50.
To put the odds against Santa, there will be wrapped presents that people can buy to stack in the boat to throw off the Elf's ability to paddle the boat.
When a person buys a 'present' to sabotage the Elf Boat, they will fill out their name and team on a ticket and place the ticket in a container.
Santa will draw a name and that person's team, will get the money in that jar to have the team swim board or/and swim parents and kids to take a name off of a Christmas Tree in their town, to fill the wishes of a child or family at Christmas. I cannot predict the amount in the jar but this is not about funding a team but rather allowing a team to make a difference in someone's life during the holiday.
We will be doing Chuck a Duck again. Santa will throw out the first duck. We will pass out ducks closer to noon.
Not required to participate.
