Swimmers will check in at the Skywalk level (see picture below) of the YMCA and spectators will enter the facility from the skywalk level at 8:15 or after. We recommend parking in the 5th and Keo parking garage for this meet.
Our team camp will be along the south wall underneath the balcony.
Thank you to the volunteers that are willing to help on Saturday! We greatly appreciate it. There is a timers meeting at 9:50 on the deck. We still need additional help with swimmer check in from 7 to 9 AM. We would appreciate anyone who can assist with this job. We know being there early is difficult, but Amber and Matt will be there to help with what we can until we have to attend coaches meetings.
Only swimmers, coaches, and volunteers during their duty are allowed on deck. Please ensure your swimmer has their things with them in camp. Amber, Jill and Matt will be there to help them throughout the meet and take care of needs. If absolutely necessary, a swimmer may be able to sneak upstairs to see if a parent if they have to, but absolutely no parents will be allowed on deck.
There is a parade for all participating teams starting at 9:35. Swimmers will need to immediately dry off and move to the hallway following warmup.
There will be a 20-minute break after Event 13 (500 Free) for All Star Presentation. The Nominations for All Stars area asked to come to the Pool Deck, entering the deck via the North Stairway (by the Gold Wall) and will meet at the Bottom of the Stairs bythe North West Wall. The All Stars will be announced per Team in alphabetical order and walk across the Bulkhead. Stop mid-way on Bulkhead briefly for pictures and then exit towards the Score Board. They will be directed to line up in designated spots (Male Athletes, Female Athletes and Lay Person). After all are announced, we will ask all of the Female Athletes again enter across Bulkhead. Team Captain will be awarded. They will exit to the West and then the Male Athletes, etc....
NOTE: We did this after event 13 to allow your All Stars plenty of time to get to designated spot-ON TIME. We will not delay for people who cannot get to the designated spot on time. That is on them or you! So, talk to your nominees. If your All-Star Nomination cannot walk across Bulkhead please let us know before the day of the meet so we can make accommodations.
Spectators enter on Skywalk Level. Cost is $5 per person. Age 5 and under free. Try to have correct change for entry to meet and program. $7 is cost of program. NO PARENTS (that are not authorized) allowed on DECK. This will be enforced. When swimmer is done swimming, we ask Parents to meet swimmer by the NORTH stairs. This is for safety of swimmers. Spectator doors will open at 8:15.
Programs are available for $7 each.
The state meet is a fun meet, but it does last a little longer than our other meets. Please come prepared with plenty to drink, snacks to eat, games to play, books to read, and with all of your swim gear! We hope it is a great experience for all of our swimmers in attendance!
