Food: Food service will be available, but swimmers and parents should be warned that NO food or drink will be allowed in the pool area. Be aware of the NO smoking policy in the building. We ask that no playpens be set up beside the pool.
Ribbons will still be broke down by age group! ☺ We will not be responsible for making sure there is rest time between events for the swimmer. So choose wisely. We will seed the meet Fastest to Slowest to allow empty lanes at end of event for swimmers who miss their races.
Santa is coming to town. He will arrive around noon. Santa's Elf just notified me that the elf wants to race some kids in one race. The prize for the winner of that race is a $50 bill.
Parents can purchase a chance ticket for $5 and these will be put in container to draw 5 names. The money for the chances go towards paying for Santa.
The Elf will be in a blow up raft. The elf will paddle the raft for a 25 and swimmers will swim a 50.
To put the odds against Santa, there will be wrapped presents that people can buy to stack in the boat to throw off the Elf's ability to paddle the boat.
When a person buys a 'present' to sabotage the Elf Boat, they will fill out their name and team on a ticket and place the ticket in a container.
Santa will draw a name and that person's team, will get the money in that jar to have the team swim board or/and swim parents and kids to take a name off of a Christmas Tree in their town, to fill the wishes of a child or family at Christmas. I cannot predict the amount in the jar but this is not about funding a team but rather allowing a team to make a difference in someone's life during the holiday.
We will be doing Chuck a Duck again. Santa will throw out the first duck. We will pass out ducks closer to noon.
Not required to participate.
